4YR Whirpool Gold icemaker produces ice that is 3-4 cubes together; ie the ice doesnt separate into single cubes & clogs up the chute. Is there TOO much
water in the tray; can the amount of water be adjusted?

Most likely too much water entering the ice mold. Yes, there is an adjustment screw, but it takes very little adjustment. Remove the white cover on the end of the ice maker module (snaps off), and you will see the little adjustment screw, which tells you the direction to turn for decreasing water flow ( signs + or -).
Please note it will probably take less than 1/2 turn.
