This range was hit by a power surge and had sparks shooting from it, every circuit board was fried, I have replaced all of them and have the cook top working again but the oven will not work it keeps showing an E28 error code (oven temperature sensor) as I stated I have replaced both pcb's the oven temp sensor and have checked for continuity in the elements and wiring, they check out. I also replaced the door switch and the door lock and motor due to bad resistance readings but convection motors and everything else is checking out so I'm at a loss as to why the oven will not work. What could I be missing? I've already spent about $850.00 on parts.

I cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit so cannot be very helpful.
Have you checked the power. The oven elements require the full 240 volts.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. Check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Do this with the heater off and on. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |

It means the resistance is below the 960 ohm threshold. Replacing the sensor should do it. Though in my instance it still shows E28 after a new sensor was put in. It could be the wiring harness as well.
