Hello I bought this dryer used and got it installed. IT is making a noise that I am not sure what it is from. It drys just fine, and I am handy and can replace the part but i am not sure what part it could be. Belt? roller? other? I also turned it off and on so you can hear it as well.

I have a link to a video of the issue. I cannot afford to pay someone to fix it so if anyone knows what it is then i can order the part and replace it.

thank you all

Here is a service manual I found on another site
http://docs.google.com/fileview...cxNDQ4ZDhhNDFm&hl=en

You will have to open the unit up to find the cause.

Since the thumping is fast I would start by checking the motor and blower.

Might be a bad drum support roller but it seems too fast to me.

thank you denman, Someone else also said to check the blower, so tonight i will take off the cover and look in the blower to see if there is something in it. It may be becasue the previous owner did not clean the lint out very well. When i vacuumed it out i found keys, a id card, a minifigure toy lol so it would not surprise me if i found something that some how got in it.

I will report back i hope tommorrow.

Thank you denman, sure enough when I removed everything and looked in the blower there was a lot of lint, paper in it. I went ahead and took the blower apart and cleaned every grove, vacuumed out the bottom of the dryer and gave it much needed TLC. Finally at 1am i got her all put together and pressed the start button only to hear nothing but quietness.

I even impressed the wife LOL...

Yes there was stuff in the blower. Thank you for the help. The money we saved doing our selves can now be used to the kids. Thank you again.

You are welcome

And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
