The freezer and refrigerator are creeping up in temperature. No matter how you adjust the temp keeps rising. Should I try to repair or buy another one?

First, clean the condenser coils really good. Second, check the evaporator coils to see if they are iced over. ICED not frosted.
If iced over, the defrost thermostat is most likely bad.
