Hello,
Here's a summary of what I'm observing with my direct-drive washer:
- When the machine should be agitating, the motor is definitely doing something and it's rythmic just like the agitator should move however the entire agitator does not move. I can rotate the agitator freely while this is happening - I can spin my agitator one way so it turns the bottom piece, and the bottom piece remains stationary when spun the other way. i think this indicates the dogs are good. - Drum spins fine in rinse cycles - Fills and drains properly
can anyone give me an idea of what the problem might be? thanks!

Looks like a faulty transmission. Need your washer model number to be able to provide the proper transmission part number.
