My Whirlpool frig isnt cooling at all. Model #GS6SHAXMS00.
I plug it in and all of the lights come on. I set the temp for both sides and the compressor kicks on. The condensor fan runs and so does the cooling fan in the freezer above the coils. I have vacuumed out the dust from the back of the frig and i have no ice build up on the coils. Any suggestions on why it is not cooling?

Hi.

Remove the rear access panel to get to the compressor. Check if the compressor is actually running. It should make a humming sound and slightly vibrate.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and parts list for your refrigerator:

Thank you,

Simon.

Hi.

Remove the rear cover panel in the freezer to get an access to the evaporator coils. Check the frost pattern on the coils (if there is any). If the evaporator is not frosting up there is the sealed system failure. Could be the restriction, bad compressor (even the motor is running), freon leak. In any of these problems you will need to contact a professional repair person and yes, it's an expensive repair.
Please keep us posted with what you'll find out.

Thank you,

Simon.
