This is an LG dishwasher just over 2 years old. Put on a batch of dishes tonight and after a few minutes it starts making a sound like a fan having trouble spinning. Noise stops and starts up a minute or two later, etc. I've recorded the sound but can't seem to upload it (mp3). Does this sound like a bad impeller? I've put the dishwasher through a vinegar clean cycle every week,

I pulled the impeller, and I don't see anything wrong with it...

Hi, Dave. There is a possibility of a motor bearings going bad. Here is the motor Part number: AP5325099
Here are the breakdown diagrams and parts list for your dishwasher: Model LDF7932ST
Good luck. Please keep us posted with the results. Thank you, Simon.

Could it be M050 rather than M060? Reason I'm asking is that I can turn the impeller by hand and I don't sense any damaged bearings - just smooth turns. Whatever's making the noise is turning fairly rapidly, I'd guess 60 RPMS or so. At what speeds to M050 and M060 turn?

Hi, Dave.
Unfortunately I don't have the information you requested. The drain pump assembly M060 is only engaged during the drain cycle, so if the dishwasher is making that sound only while it's in the wash cycle, that is not the drain pump.
Thank you,
Simon.

I'll go ahead and replace the circulating pump but I have my doubts as to whether or not that's the problem. Here's a link to a very short youtube video that someone posted; the noise that my unit is making can be heard at the very beginning at the 3 to 4 second mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Kgz7XV0FX4. I pulled the circulating pump motor today. Shaft turns very smoothly with no indication of bearing damage. I even hooked it up to my drill and turned at maximum speed. No noise from the motor...
