I have a Maytag Epic Z washer. The washer keeps shutting off when trying to drain. There are no error codes just the washer shuts down and the door stays locked. I first thought it was the pump so I ordered a new pump and no results. I then removed the drain hose from the tub to the pump. Found nothing that would stop the washer from draining. I also checked the discharge hose and again it is clear. I have ran a diagnosis on the machine and no error codes come up. The washer has failed during the diagnosis phase. I am not sure what to even look at now.

Hi.

Check the wire harness from the drain pump to the control board.
Also could be faulty pressure switch, control board.

Please provide the complete model number.

Simon.
