Is it safe to run my dryer if the timer doesn't advance? It doesn't seem to be overheating. It doesn't get hot on air dry.

A model number would be helpful. Find your model number - AppliancePartsPros.comShould be 3 digits, a period and then an additional 8 digits. It would be best to find out what is causing it to not advance. Does it not advance in both timed and auto cycles? |

Thanks for responding Denman. The model no. is 110 62512101. It's a Kenmore Dryer. I will try to repair it with the help of all of you on this blog. In the meantime, is it safe to use if I stop it after 30-40 minutes?

Also, it won't advance on either setting. Auto, timed or air dry.

Here are your parts Parts for Kenmore Dryer 11062512101 - AppliancePartsPros.comSears parts has actual part breakdown diagrams but they do not share these with other vendors. See the attachment for the wiring diagram. It should be OK to run but I will not recommend it as then something will happen for sure. Odds are that it is a timer problem. If you measure across the timer motor and it is getting 240 volts and not advancing then it is the timer for sure. |
