I have opened up the dryer and checked: Igniter, Flame Sensor, High Heat Thermostat, Selonoids. It doesnt look like this GE model has a Thermal Fuse to check out. All had continuity ok. When I test the gas, I get a flame but then it shuts off after 1 minute or so. I will replace the following items once the parts get here (just to be sure):

1- Both Gas Valve Solenoids
2- Hi Limit Thermostat
3- Inlet Control Thermisor

My questions are these:

1- Can a flame sensor shut off the gas? Should I replace it too?
2- What color should my flame be? Its burning mostly yellow instead of blue maybe because the entire dryer is open. If not, can it be adjusted? How?
3- When I test the burner, how long should I leave it on before I know its working fine?

Hi.

First of the front panel should be installed back and the door has to be closed in order to have a proper air flow and heat exchange. From all the parts that you listed you most likely need only control coils

Part number: AP3094251
Part number: AP3094251

In regards the flame sensor the answer is - no, it can't turn the gas off.

Please keep us posted with the results.

Thank you,

Simon.
