Shut dryer door, turned on, hit START button and it clicks once and goes to "SENSING" light but does not rotate or start? Nothing? All the lights are on, but no action???

Hi. Sounds like you have a case of a burnt control board. If you pull out the control board (unplug the dryer first) and turn it over you most likely going to see burnt spot right where the relay is soldered. Here the breakdown diagrams and parts list for your dryer Model GEW9200LL1
The control board Part number: AP3775548
Click on the picture to get to the repair video. Keep in mind that you may return any parts purchased from APP.com within one year. Good luck. Please keep us posted with the results. Thank you. Simon.

I had the same symptoms, and the problem was a failed drive belt. The belt was broken, so the machine would appear to operate normal until touching the start button.

Hi. Thank you for the input. You are absolutely right! In addition to the control board the belt and the belt switch must be checked. The belt Part number: AP5983729
