I purchased the washer new in March 2010. It will fill with water, drain, and makes sounds like it is going thru all of the cycles, but the tub won't move or spin. Once the full cycle ends, the clothes are soaking wet because its not spinning at all. Any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks for all of the helpful information. It's getting a 7 flash code so I followed the directions to clear the code and then tried the washer again. It's still getting that 7 flash code, so I need to check the lid switch. I dont have an ohmmeter to check it with so I'll have to see if any of my family members have one I can use. I'll let you know how it goes, but I did want to thank you for your help.
