1st post so be nice. :o Ok here is my deal. My ice maker just stopped making ice. I did some basic troubleshooting. Here is what I did so far. 1) Verified I had water coming from the wall. (Start basic right..) 2) Verified I had water post filter 3) Verified I had water to the dual water valve. ( AP4080917) Water pressure to it, not past it. 4) Verified water up to the ice box. No water. 5) (dual valve)Measure resistance on ice box side = 265 6) (dual valve)Measure resistance on drink side = 193 7) Voltage at connector for ice box is = 50v ac 8) Voltage at drink side is = 0v ac I am not sure what is next. I want to say it is the valve but not 100%. But looking at the schematics online it aprears I should be getting 120v not 50v? Help? Replacement parts for MAYTAG MZD2665HEW | AppliancePartsPros.com

If your water dispenser is working try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear and the ice maker is the problem.

I tried that but the connectors are not the same. But I still gave it a good riggin. Still no go. So no I am willing to do anything. So now I ripped my ice maker out when I noticed it isn't moving, and looking at the setup it could care less if water is on or off. Was pretty easy to open up and did so basic checks and did some cleaning. Hooked it back up and held the door switch, water turned on. Ice is being made. Now I like wtf. I think the tan wire from ice maker to 2 way valve wasn't getting the signal to turn on. If the ice maker wasn't making the spin around to catch the contact to enable water it will never turn on. Now that I know how the inside works, it would really suck if the ice maker froze during the fill step. Nothing tells it to turn off except this rotation wheel.

Does anyone know what that screw on the side of the ice maker does. Its like a white plastic screw? When I had it open (if I remember) it looked like it adjusted to metal contact points?
