Hi, I have a whirlpool resource duet front loading dryer. My safety control lock seems to be locked. I hold it for 3 sec and nothing happens, however if I slightly hit it the light goes off and then I can slight hit it and it comes back on, but its still in lock mode. When I turn the dryer off and try to put it in lock mode it works and I can unlock it.. when I try and start my dyer is just beeps. I have replaced the control panel boad and main control board and neither fixes the problem. The theremafuse has been replaced as well. any idea before I have to buy a new dryer

Hi, k62254. Did you try to replace the console assembly, not just the control board inside it? The console assembly Part number: AP4500422
Thank you. Keep us posted. Best, Simon.

No I did not try that part because it didn't seem like that would be the issue because it's just plastic I guess I'm wrong on that? Could just that plastic part really be the issue and not the control panel behind it

Hi. In your case we need to check all the options. Also, I would check all harness wires and connectors between those two controls.
Best,
Simon.

Would it make a difference if I ordered the electronic board with a new plastic cover? Or can I order just the plastic cover and attach my electronic board to it?

i don't see the cover being sold by itself. And again, I'm stressing out that the wire harness should be checked.
Best,
Simon.
