Just started having this problem last night. The washer fills up and then just stops. Does not go into agitation cycle. If I manually put it to spin cycle it does not spin, there is a humming sound for a bit and then that stops. I unplugged the washer overnight and this morning plugged it back in and was able to get it to spin and drain and turn off on it's own. I tried to do another load of laundry and the same thing happened. After unplugging it for awhile it will spin and empty. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Defrancey. It sounds like the timer or the motor may be bad on the unit. You will need to check the timer and see if it is sending power to both the agitate and spin on the motor causing the unit to hum. If so, replace the timer. Part number: AP4418305

Replace the ACTUATOR/SIFT PART # W10006355 Had same problem but an honest service man fixed the problem. Try this, the machine runs like new again.
