This washer has a neutral drain transmission. After agitation stops, the washer should go into drain, without spinning, for a full 2 minutes. After the 2 minute drain period, the motor should stop for a few seconds and then start again. This takes the transmission out of neutral. At this point, it should start to spin while continuing to drain. If there is no motor pause after the 2 minute drain, the timer is faulty. You are pausing the motor when you turn the machine off and back on again which shifts the transmission out of neutral. If there is a pause after the drain period, but it still won't go into spin unless you manually pause it again, the transmission is faulty.
