Tub filled with water, then when hit agitation mode, does not agitate, and makes bad grinding sound. At any agitation or spin setting on the dial same thing, does not turn at all. Looked underneath. Coupler intact. Some oil dripping out of gearbox. I'm afraid it may be gearbox but any other possibility? Thanks!

Assume it drains ok so motor is ok? You sure about that motor coupler? Remove motor and rotate transmission input shaft by hand CCW. If this doesn't cause the lower agitator to go back and forth, the transmission is bad. Can be repaired unless input pinion or main drive gear is shot, or replaced.
