I purchased a thermostats, 8170850, for KitchenAid fridge model KBRA22KLSS01. The thermostat has two terminals, L and C. The two wires on the fridge, that suppose to be connected to the two terminals, are red and light grey. I need to know which of the terminals, L and C, should be connected to red wire and which other get connected to the light grey. Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Since you are controlling AC it should not matter.

As long as one of the connectors you list is not earth ground.

Thank you so much for your reply.
just to make sure, why one terminal is marked by L "line" and the other C "common"?
Also What are you referring as AC?
