I have a maytag MDB9150AWB dishwasher that stopped filling with water. I purchased a replacement water valve. My son and I are trying to access the valve, but there is not enough clearance to get a wrench around it. The pipe is facing towards the back. Do we need to remove something else to get to it?

You may have to unfasten the unit from the cabinet and pull it forward a couple inches.

Thanks for that. :)

Yes, I managed to dismount the water valve from the dishwasher, but I didn't realize the lack of room is between the nut (fastener) on the intake water line and the plate that is part of the water pump itself. We just can't get a wrench in-between and there isn't enough clearance under the dishwasher to flip the wrench around and move it a couple of millimeters? I guess I'm just going to have to call a professional.

Thanks again!
