Freezer was beginning to defrost last week. Turned unit off and back on. Ran over 24 hours and all is frozen solid. Unit never turned back on over 2 days and we noticed product started to defrost. Unit never turned back on even with the door open. Turned thermostat back off and on and the freezer ran over 24 hours and all is frozen again. Has not turned back on and I assume it will require another reset. What part is out or what do you think is the problem?

A model number may be helpful to determine if this is an electronic controlled unit.

If not then the most likely culprit is the control thermostat.
