Hi,

Before I make any assumptions about how I remove the top cover to check/replace the door switch; can someone tell me how to do it? Thanks.

Hi MikMac

On your machine there is the lint screen on the top. Remove this and you will see two screws in the lint screen receptacle area. Remove them and then "pop" up the top from the front. This will give you access to the door switch.

Good luck, and let us know if you have any difficulty or need further help.

sidfink43, thanks.

After I posted my request, I found the scematic for the dryer on the AAP web-site and used that and another thread with a similiar door switch issue to solve my problem. Dryer works great. AAP probably saved me close to $100 in a service call on this one!
