I'm having a problem with my dryer drying the clothes. I have to turn it on at least three times before clothes are completely dry. It does get hot just does not dry clothes on the first or second cycle. Today it took me running 5 cycles before it dried the load. I've cleaned all the lint from all areas including the vent but this has not helped. Is it the heating element or something else? Please respond. Thank you.

run the dryer for 10 - 20 minutes with wet clothes in there... open / check clothes to see if they are warm or not ... if they are warm , removd vent hose from rear of dryer ( carefully ) and run the dryer for another 20-30 minutes .. if the clothes are warmer to hot and they seem as if they are getting dry, problem is with vent...

I think you have a 27" dryer from sears. The lint screen in inside the front ,correct? If so, remove the blower housing and clear the lint out. Next, pour water through the lint screen. If the water pools on the mesh, repace the filter. Fabric Softener likes to clog these things up. wrench
