Hi All,

Hoping Gene pipes in here - I have read his replies and they are spot on! The serial number is 372 07 008112600014 (I noticed there may be differences based on serial number).

I have an older Thermador, installed about 12 years ago when we remodeled the kitchen.

Anyway, it is a Thermador dual fuel drop in range with a down draft fan.

The back left burner (one of the Extra Lo burners that will turn off and on) is not longer working. The igniters will go, but there is no gas flowing.

Where do I start, and are there even parts available (I have heard this may be a problem).

Thank you in advance for your help!

The exlo burners are controlled by a simmer control module. This module sends 110vdc to the solenoid, but part of that voltage needs to pass through a switch on the control valve called a potentiometer. The most common cause of a "spark w/ no gas" complaint is a bad potentiometer, which is sold along with the simmer control in kit number 00497235.

There's a slim change the solenoid is the problem, but not likely. To check it, measure for resistance across the two terminals. A good solenoid will read 1760 ohms.
