Whirlpool duet is dead. All i get is 3 chimes when the power button is pressed. Ran diags with the only code found C:00 so replaced door latch and then the ccu. Checked all resistence measurements listed in tech aid and found within range. Voltage on uid terminal was within range. Machine is about 16 months old so Whirlpool says it is out of warranty? What an expensive pain?

I did check all the connections, but didn't help. Just removed wire from mcc and the user interface started functioning properly. removed and replaced wires on mcc and now unit seems to be working porperly but haven't tried to wash a load of clothes. I did run the diagnostics again and it showed; F71, C00, C01

Possible something is wrong with the user interface harness, harness connections or the user interface itself.

I replaced the center user interface a few days ago, but it didn't help so does that mean the right side would be defective?

Earlier you said you replaced the CCU and now you saying you replaced the center user interface. Can you be more specific on which parts you replaced? Post the part numbers.

I replaced the CCU which was part number 8183258 and the center, encoding" module with the selector know with WP #10168596. I read another thread in this forum and found they had removed mi3 cable to the motor control unit and then display would funciton. When I did that I ran the diagnostics and found 3 codes, C00, C01, F70. I plugged the cable back in the CCU, but still wont wash clothes.

The only thing I can think about in such situation is a stuck button(s) on the control panel. There is no troubleshooting procedure for this failure, so it's up to you to try it. The part is very expensive and I can not guarantee it will solve the problem.

- The part number for the control panel is AP3968044
