I ordered a new heating element for our Whirlpool dishwasher and installed it today. I had confirmed the old one has failed after seeing bubbling on the element and very weak continuity (high impedence). Removing the old one confirmed it was broken - came out in two pieces.

However, with the new element, the unit still won't get warm enough to dry the dishes. There is continuity on the high limit thermostat and the panel isn't indicating anything amiss. It feels warm in the cabinet like it might be working a little, but shutting off too early. However, that might be the water temp or the heated floors.

Anything further I can test? Is it possible a fuse burned out somewhere?

I think you should call the professionals and get checked all the wiring and heating elements of your dishwasher, place carpet on the floors so that there is no problem heating the element, you may visit this for carpets.
