Hi,
I ordered a new heating element for our Whirlpool dishwasher and installed it today. I had confirmed the old one has failed after seeing bubbling on the element and very weak continuity (high impedence). Removing the old one confirmed it was broken - came out in two pieces.
However, with the new element, the unit still won't get warm enough to dry the dishes. There is continuity on the high limit thermostat and the panel isn't indicating anything amiss. It feels warm in the cabinet like it might be working a little, but shutting off too early. However, that might be the water temp or the heated floors.
Anything further I can test? Is it possible a fuse burned out somewhere?
Thanks.

Your model number seems to be missing the last digit so you will have to choose the correct unit from the Matching Model Numbers section. Parts for WDF510PAYS - AppliancePartsPros.comI have attached two tech sheets I am not sure which one is applicable for your unit as they both come up when I use the given model number. May even be that they are the same just in a different format layout. Check the heater resistance at the plug on the control board. This will tell you that the wiring, the heater and the hi-limit are OK. If they are good then check the thermistor is OK. If it is good then odds are that the control board has a problem. |

Thanks. I think you should call the professionals and get checked all the wiring and heating elements of your dishwasher, place carpet on the floors so that there is no problem heating the element, you may visit this for carpets.
