I've scoured previous posts but can't find anything similar to the leak my washer has.

Removing the back panel and looking at the left side of the plastic tub housing, there is a small hole from which water leaks. The hole is at a slight angle and looks almost hand made--meaning it's not a perfectly manufactured hole. It's very roughly made.

Water starts to fill the tub and then about 20 seconds later, water starts to leak out of the hole.

Water pump and all lines are clear and work fine.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Well if there is a hole than water will leak. Depending upon the size of the hole and how easy it is to reach you may try to seal it with some epoxy or similar type material.

Thanks sidfink43.

The machine is 6 years old and I have a hard time believing a hole just appeared. There are no parts or anything close to the hole that would have rubbed or punctured.

Would this be some type of an overflow hole? Are they common in this type of machine?
