First post here.
Guessing on age of washer.
Seems in the past week the vibration of the washer on spin cycle has really gotten bad. I have made sure that all the feet are solid and the washer is level. It seems solid with no rocking. I have taken all the clothes out and even with no clothes in the washer it still seems to vibrate more that I would have expected. What should I look for? I am fairly handy if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks much!

Take off the cabinet and inspect the springs that connect to the tub. One or more may be broken. Also check the pads the tub rests on. And look for a hairline crack in the support structure.

The vibration was diagnosed as a bad balance ring. Turns out that you cannot buy the rig separate, it comes with the tub assembly. Considering how much it was going to cost to fix I think we will live with it for a while.
