The control panel on our whirlpool electric range keeps acting strange. When we use the oven for baking, after we are finished cooking and hit the cancel button to cut off the oven, the clock time will now be off by several hours (this does not happen every time, but more than 50% of the time). Often, when we hit the bake button to set the oven temperature, the entire control panel goes black, and then when we hit the cancel button we get a "30" displayed on the screen. Sometimes the panel stays black and we have to go out to the breaker panel to reset the power to the range. The computerized control panel part number 8507P240-60 has already been replaced 3 times, but we still end up with the same results.

Our control panel did the exact same thing. It finally went out and we had a repairman come out and fix it. He reset the breaker, pushed a combination of buttons on the panel and it was back on. About 2 weeks later, it went out again. We tried resetting the breaker and it did not work. My sister was just messing around with the buttons and it came back on. It worked for about a month and has just gone out again. Do you have a solution? Originally Posted by: preissheights The control panel on our whirlpool electric range keeps acting strange.
