Samsung Electric Stove Top - Spark on Temperature Knob

Greetings all,

Glad to find such a helpful forum. Our 2 year old Samsung Electric NE595R0ABS was operating almost perfectly for Thanksgiving. The left Temperature Knob malfunctioned and had a sudden blue spark. Oven at the moment does not operate, and I've checked the circuit breaker with no issues. Would replacing the Regulator solve the circuit issue? Or is it a bigger replacement such as the mother board. Apologies for the lack of correct terminology.

Will be checking for a current later.

I've attached more photos:

Here are your parts

Sounds like the spark also blew the control board.
You will have to replace the board and the infinite switch that sparked.

Note that I do not have access to tech info on Samsungs and could not find a fuse in the parts listing so am assuming that it is a board problem.
