Whirpool dryer LER4634JQ0 has a part that snaps into place on the INSIDE of the drum (where the clothes go) that is six inches long, an oval, made of orange plastic, has wax on it, and has worn down to the point where the orange plastic base now says "replace." This part is not listed in the manual or online ANYWHERE. What is this part, what does it do, and why do I need to replace it?

NO ONE at Sears or Whirlpool has a clue what I am talking about. I will try to post a photo. UserPostedImage

OH MY GOSH!! It's called a "dryer bar." Apparently Bounce and Gain make them , and they can be purchased at Target, Dollar Store, etc. I FINALLY chatted with someone who knew what I was talking about. What a crazy day.
