Ran 6 hours last night, empty except for using a bottle of dishwasher magic on power scrub, when through w/cycles beeps but no heat or steam. Hoped the problem was a clogged system.

I hate to just buy a control board to replace. The price varies from $299 to $419 for this part (not the $150 some are claiming).

I would greatly welcome any suggestions.

Okay, took out control board & found broken solder at one point. So I re-soldered and reassembled. Turned on the breaker and the dishwasher starts in Regular Wash mode. Pumps are running, light is on but no water.

I'm at my wit's end. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll have to go looking at dishwashers in another day or so. Bosch won't be on the list this time, I'm afraid.

Okay, tonight, for sorely needed giggles (2nd radiator replacement on pos 2008 f250 in 1-1/2 years $1340, water softener making a lot of water - in the water softener; all in the last week) I thought I would turn the power on & try to run the unit again. It's working, right now, as I type. I only hope the cycle doesn't take too long to run and that the dishwasher is fixed.

Stay tuned.

Apparently, something resets when you power back up after installing the control board.

Whatever the trick was, I hit it. Hope everyone else has the best of luck repairing their dishwashers or other appliances.
