Belt is Not broken. Replaced Start switch...the dryer will Heat but Not Run. If i push door Switch and turn the drum by Hand it will Run thru a Cycle. If i Select a dry Time the Heat will come on and hum when i Open the door . Also if I have Selection in off Position it will Cycle intoan on postion and Heat up so i have to unplug dryer when Not in use. Since it is Not the Start Button and Belt is intact is it the switch to choose drying Time and temps? Trying to fix myself and appreciate the help. Thanks, scott

Faulty motor. The centrifugal switch is stuck in the run position. There are two switches operated by the centrifugal mechanism. One is to connect the start winding for starting the motor, the other is to power the heat element. With the switches stuck in the run position, the start winding is disconnected so the motor won't start unless you do it by hand with rotating the drum. This also powers the heat element even with motor off if timer is on and also causes the timer motor to run through the OFF position.
