During the process of removing the machine control board (Part no. 8546219) to perform testing, I inadvertantly broke off a small electrical part near the retaining screw. I have purchase (2) subsequent replacement boards on line and neither will power up the dryer controls on the front panel. The old board will power up the controls, but will not start. The dryer only beeps when pressing the start button. The only thing I notice different about the board is the part number, which is 8546219R on both the replacement boards. Please help, this is getting frustrating to say the least.

No suggestions anyone? Keep buying boards that don't work? Install a clothes line in the back yard ?

I'm sorry I have no answers but I do have exactly the same thing happening here. f-o1 code. Ordered Control panel assembly through Whirlpool. Installed the new parts and same thing no lights on temperature Damp dry etc. and start wont work but power does come on. Changed the control panel assembly back to the old one and it all comes on with a tone but trows the f-o1 code. Very frustrating. Whirlpool sent me a new part...does exactly the same thing. I have a whirlpool technician coming next week and I will post the results.
