Here are your parts Parts for Maytag MBL1957WES2 / Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comClicking on a parts description or picture will bring up more info about it. See the attachment for the tech sheet. The compressor and the evaporator fan are running, is the condenser/compressor fan also running? It should be. Are the vents in the kick plate and rear cover clean? Are the condenser coils under the unit clean? If yes to all the above then remove the cover in the freezer so you can inspect the evaporator/freezer coils. If there is just frost in one area, usually where the freon enters the coils then it is probably a sealed system problem. This will be an expensive repair as you need a pro. Often it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit. Be sure that the unit has run continuously for at about an hour before doing this. If you do it shortly after or during a defrost cycle then you may come up with the wrong diagnosis. If the evaporator coils are heavily iced/frosted over then it is probably a defrost problem. Possible causes are the control board, the defrost heater or the defrost thermostat. Reply back if you need help narrowing this down. |

Hi denman: compressor and the evaporator fan are running. condenser and compressor fan also running. I also cleanup condenser coils. condenser coils under the unit doesn't blow warm air out and it's not warm/hot when touch by hand. I like to upload an mage to show evaporator/freezer coils, but i don't know how. evaporator/freezer coils got some frosted on it, not a lot, I use hair dryer can melt it in few minutes.

evaporator/freezer coils got some frosted on it, not a lot, How the frost covers the coils is important. It should be fairly even. Below is a link take a look at the example pictures about a third of the way down the page. They show sealed systems with problems. http://www.applianceaid.com/ref...ator-not-cold-enough.php |
