Hello,

I have fried something inside my new Samsung fridge by plugging the power strip it is on into a reversed outlet.

When I plugged the strip into the newly rewired outlet it said "wiring fault" with a red light. The refrigerator made a clink, clunk, click, click noise. I turned off the power strip and ended up rewiring the outlet because the hot and neutral wires were indeed reversed.

I plugged the power strip back in, this time it said "protection on" with a green light. Plugged the fridge into the power strip and it made the same clink, clunk, clicking noises. Front display works fine. Tried opening the fridge and freezer doors to call for cooling. Lights on, more clicking noises but no compressor came on. Unplugged fridge again....opened up the back panel...smelled an electrical smell...and saw lots of parts on a shiny new board. Closed it back up.

So, I have obviously done something bad to the refrigerator. How bad is the big question. The fridge and freezer are getting warmer as I write this. Any guidance on what to trouble shoot would be GREATLY appreciated! I hope I haven't ruined the whole unit.
I am fervently hoping that I have blown a fuse or some other relatively inexpensive part. Thank you in advance.

I have a happy update though......when I powered the unit back on this morning, it started up and and is keeping both the fridge and the freezer at the requested temp.! Somehow something on the main board or the inverter board must have absorbed the overload and recovered. Water, ice, display and compressor are all working......not sure how, or for how long.... I did order a main board anyway, just in case it wants to quit any time soon.
