The compressor on my GE side by side refrigerator would not start so after finding that the compressor was not getting voltage I assumed it wasn't the start components but the main board and I was correct. The compressor relay on the board was fried. I swapped the part and she started up but only for about 30 mins to an hour before shutting off. The compressor was hot to the touch so I let it cool for 24 hours and now the compressor won't start and neither will the fans.
