Hi,

We have a professional Viking gas range and it started acting up a couple of weeks ago.

When starting the oven, I can hear the gas feed, then the ignitor clicking (at constant speed) but, then it stops, without lighting. It starts again then, with the abundant amount of gas already in the oven, lights up with a bigger "bang" than usual. Today, it took me 3 tries before it actually starts, letting the gas escape the oven before trying again, to prevent an "explosion" inside...

The weird thing is, even if it has the hardest time "cold starting", once the oven reaches the desired temp, it stop as usual, and then restarts on the first try, every time, without any hesitation.

Also, the over broiler starts without issue, even if "cold".

At first I thought it would the ignitor. It lets gas out, realizes its not lighting, then stops. It retries after a few seconds, sometimes successfully. But then, like I mentioned, it doesn't have any issue restarting the oven when it just want to keep the maintain the inside temp.

I thought it would be the gas valve, or outlet that might need cleaning... but again, why doesn't it have any difficulty restarting to maintain the desired temp.

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
