My washer makes a straining noise when in agitation mode. the fill and pump out runs fine and the washer spins ok too without the noise. It's most prominent during washing. Could this be the belt? I've made a short youtube video showcasing the sound and problem. MOV 0945 - YouTubeThanks in advance for any help that can be sent my way. Steve

Take the front panel off so you can better localize the source of the noise. To remove, insert and push hard on putty knife into the top groove in line with the lid opening on each side to release the clips. Then tilt panel outward and lift from cabinet. Check for broken dampener straps. Look up from open front panel. There are four black rubber dampening straps in each "corner" of the outer tub that prevent the tub from swinging too far back and forth during the agitation cycle. Make sure the bottom of the tub support assembly is not hitting the bottom of the washer during agitation.

Roger that. I'm tied up the next few days but will explore it. I've done quite of bit of work on the matching dryer so I'm prepared. Thanks for the quick response.
