The timer "knob" seems to be stripped out. Instead of making the normal clicking/ratcheting sound as you advance it, it just spins (for the most part, catches occasionally). Despite its age and relative "cheapness" this thing does an amazing job.
- So, is it most likely the knob itself, or the timer/cycle mechanism?
Thanks

I cannot say.

Take the knob off and try turning the timer manually.

If it turns OK then replace the knob.

Well, NOW the knob's broken! lol. Removing it, broke off two small tabs, but the strange thing is that the timer switch appears to be too deep into the control panel to even engage the lug (cross bar thing w/ the little ball-shape on it) on the knob. So maybe the switch came loose inside?
