Dryer timer will advance in timed dry but not auto day (all auto dry cycles). Advised to disconnect duct and restart timer. Did not work. Does the moisture control board have anything to do with auto dry cycles?

Yes, the moisture sensor control operates the timer in auto mode. Check the moisture sensing bars in the drum. Probably just need cleaning. If they are gunked up, they will short out and control board will not advance timer.
