I have an Estate by Whirlpool Type 575-0
The device has been non functional for over two years now. When i took it apart that time, it would fill up to the element and no cycles would then engage. i can hit the cancel button to drain the system. Now as i have been more motivated to use the device since having had two children i am interested again in fixing it. I used a wedge to make the machine think the door was shut so that i could watch what was going on. At this point the water fills and just sits there. The circulation motor never engages. I took and clean the screen where the chopping blade is 2 years ago as well as clean the water level sensor(looks like a float). during this go around, i held the float up to see if it were cause issues as my thought was if it were not going the whole way up then it would not signal the divice to go into the next phase of the cycle. Sadly it did nothing and i have no idea where to go from here. I took the control panel out to check for a fuse as i have read some models have one, i found no such fuse.

Any help would be amazing!!!

Here are your parts

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Fill is just a timed event.
All the float/switch does is kill power to the water valve if the unit overfills.
It is just a safety device to prevent a flood.

If you look at the tech sheet you will see that a door switch (plastic tub) is part of the motor circuit. perhaps this switch is not closing or is defective.

thank you denman for the tech sheets as well as clarifying the functionality of some of the devices switches.
With the handle switch, would it partially break? I say this as the switch has to be engaged aka door must be shut for the device to start or turn on. The device does in fact begin its cycle. Perhaps it is on the secondary function that the device is not working. I could hard wire and bi-pass that switch to test for sure.

Does the door latch have one or two switches?
If two then one switch only effects the wash motor and the heater.

The other then effects the power to the control board and all other active parts.

The device has two.

I have hard wired the system to bi-pass the switches. Still does the same. Turns on, fills, then nothing else.

Try running the diagnostics.

Check the wires from the control bpoard down to the motor with a meter.

Check the wash motor windings with a meter.

Check to see if the motor is getting voltage when it should.
If it idoes and the motoir does not run then it is a motor problem.

I am off to the lake for a few days so will not be available.

If all the above are OK I would say that the control board is bad.

If you need more help you may want to start a new post and link back to this one. When the forum is busy the other volunteers on the site do not have to check posts that already have a reply.
