Sears, in its infinite wisdom, does allow replacement of just the bulb in the dryer. I had to order the whole assembly (more expensive, of course). Almost impossible to get out--then the new one didn't work. I don't know if I took the old one out correctly, or if I inserted the new one correctly. First: how do you take out the old Lamp Assembly and install a new one? Second: If I do get the new one in successfully and properly and the light still doesn't work, what then?

Below is a manual that may help. http://appliancejunk.com...&id=197;t=1410769977I am assuming that the uit runs OK and it is just the lamp that does not work. Also I went to the Sears parts site and it showed both the lamp and the lamp with housing as available, so I am a bit confused. K221 or K222 in the Drum and motor assembly section Check the lamp with a meter should have continuity. If it has continuity and does not work then it is probably a bad door switch. |
