Worked flawlessly for about 8 months. Now has several problems.
1. ProDry cycle seems to not be working, everything very wet (not just the plastics)
2. Dishes (top and bottom rack) not cleaned properly
3. Spots/small clumps of powder detergent on dishes and inside of DW
Filter is clean, arms are clean and freely spinning. No diagnostic codes or any indication of problem on panel.
Anyone have any ideas? We live in the middle of nowhere, very difficult to get repair people to come. THANK YOU!

Un-click the Use Our Download Manager and then use the grey Download button. Otherwise the site may put software on your computer that you do not want. Download Kitchenaid Dishwasher manual KD-15.pdfSee the attachment for the tech sheet. Could be a heater problem, this can cause wash and dry problems. Are your cycle times the same ? A heater problem will usually cause longer run times as the unit waits for the water to heat to a certain set point. If it does not reach that temperature many units will continue the cycle after a maximum wait time. The wash problem could be a low fill problem. This can be easily checked by adding hot water after each fill during a cycle. Justbe careful to not overfill it. If it now washes OK then the most likely culptit is the screen filter on the input side of the fill valve. Check and clean it. Do not permanently remove it as it is there to keep crud out of the valve that could cause a flood. |
