I have owned this dryer since 2001 and have never had a problem until last October when it would not start. I checked everything that could be wrong (fuses, switches etc.) and found out it was the circuit board. So I replaced the board and everything worked fine. As long as it was apart I also cleaned the lint out so the dryer was clean. Once the circuit board was replaced it worked fine for about 2 weeks and suddenly it would not start. I again checked everything and found that the thermal fuse had blown. I replaced the fuse and it was fine for about 2 to 3 months, then the fuse blew again. I checked and the dryer still did not have a lot of lint buildup. About 3 months later the same thing happened, the fuse blew out again. I don't understand why this keeps happening, because I have the same problem now again for the 4th time in one year. I don't see how it is overheating when their isn't much lint buildup and I clean the lint filter after every dry. I never had a problem for over 10 years, now I can't keep it from blowing the fuse. Can their be some other problem causing the fuse to blow? Or am I buying inferior fuses?

Did you check for lint inside the duct that runs from the heat box to the drum? Did you check inside the blower housing and exhaust duct from blower to back of dryer? Is the duct from dryer to house exhaust damper clear? Make sure the blower wheel is not slipping on the motor shaft. Check condition of drum seals and blower housing seals. If there are leaks, you won't get proper air flow through heat box and it will get too hot in the bottom area of the dryer.

Thanks for the info. I will check the seals, that just may be the problem.

Thanks
