We had a power surge that messed up several appliances, including the oven. The wall receptacle is okay, and the cooktop works. I've looked on line and found a parts list, but can't find a wiring diagram. I have accessed the oven control board and find no voltage on any of the incoming conductors. I can see the main control board under the cooktop, but before I disassemble that I'd like a better idea of how to troubleshoot. Any help is appreciated! Randy

Thank you - the wiring schematic was very helpful. In a closer visual inspection I can see the transformer is bubbled and scorched. I ordered a new one from you this evening, and will disassemble and replace when it arrives. Do you have any other diagnostic recommendations? I am concerned that the control panel may also be fried. Received the transformer (thanks for the speedy service). The transformer (and control board) is located beneath the cooktop deck. I'm trying to figure out how to access; here's where I am:

Power and gas turned OFF. front control panel removed, side panels and back guard panel removed, and screws that capture the cooktop deck are all removed. It appears that I can disconnect the swaged connector on the main gas line in the back and the entire cooktop can be lifted (there are probably also some ground wire terminals, etc. to deal with). Is that typically the case? I know to use wrenches on both sides of the swaged connector - any other recommendations on taking it apart, or how to insure a good seal when connecting it back?

The new transformer did the trick. Man,tThat was the tightest space I've ever worked in - both arms in up to my elbows and no ability to see while I was working. The wife is most impressed.
