I am looking for someone to help troubleshoot an oven failure on my piece of junk Kitchenaid. First we are light cooks in my home. This oven probably got 2 years work in the past 10. That withstanding two years ago we decided to clean the oven. BIG MISTAKE. The mfg. (as is usual with wimpy warranties) is still in a state of denial publicly that they had an engineering defect in this unit. What this means to me is (1) replace thermal fuse in back, AND replace fuse in control panel, AND you guessed it - replaced the control panel because my use of the clean function blew everything up!
Now 18 months later my upper oven in the double fails to heat. The control panel states it is on and nothing happens. What do I need to check to see where my issue lies? I have posted several times to this site with no answer. I have read on other ovens there is a resettable thermodisc behind control panel. Does this apply to mine?

Here are your parts
Parts for KitchenAid KEBS208DSS11 Oven - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Since the unit stays in pre-heat and the other oven works OK I would start with the thermal fuse (item 37 in section 01).

Remove power from the unit and check it with a meter, should be 0 ohms.

If blown replace it.
Then check that the blower works.
Also use a thermometer in the oven to check the calibration to be sure it is not running hot.
