Recently I forgot the bottom door partially opened for more than 12 hours. Since then I have to set the thermostat from 3 originaly to 7 so that the freezer temperature go below 5 degrees,
Is this a sign of damage to some part ?

I cannot say

Could be that the coils froze up solid and it will take several days (multiple defrost cycles) to clear them.

May also be that moisture is at the thermostat's capillary (sensing) tube and is causing problems. You may heve to disassemble the unit and dry it out with a hair dryer.
