My 2 year old Kenmore 665.14043k015 pump came loose from the bracket it hangs on and the high-pressure hose connection separated so lots of water drained onto the floor:mad: . I can reconnect the hose using a standard hose clamp but the plastic pipe it connects to does not have a ridge or bib to help prevent the hose from disconnecting again. Does anyone know if this part has been redesigned or if there is some other way to make it less likely to fail again? The failing assembly is currently shown as W10195600. Thanks!!

I looked up the part at AppliancePartsPros.
Looking at the views it does not look like a barb has been added.

Using a standard hose clam should hold it.
It might be an idea to clean the connection inside hose and the male fitting with isopropyl alcohol before reconnecting just to the sure that soap residue etc. is gone.

I ordered a new sump and found that it is improved. It is now made from a dark grey plastic (rather than light grey) and there is now a thin ridge at the at the edge of the hose connection that should provide some grip and make it more likely to stay connected. This can be seen on the photo of the sump-only part (not the full sump assembly photo), but the full sump assembly contains the new part. I used silicone grease to install the new sump and no leaks! Hooray!
