When the ice maker on my Whirlpool side by side refills water also comes out the water dispenser in the door even though the dispense has not been pressed. This happens even when the lock out on the water dispenser if activated.

My Frigidaire FRS6R5ESB4 is exhibiting the same symptom. It goes both ways: when the ice maker activates, the water dispenser also activates; when the water dispenser activates, the ice maker water line also activates even if the ice maker is not installed. I have already tried changing the water valve. Did you ever find a fix for this issue?

After much research, troubleshooting, and barely usable wiring schematics, I am going to try the diode kit (5303918287 (AP3220736) ). I'll try to remember to post back if it doesn't work. I'm not going to give it a second thought if it does.
