Attached is a picture of a part that fell out of my washer as i disassembled it. It seems to have come from a cup hung from the suspension, but i see no value to it while in that cup (unless it is some kind of spare something).

Does anyone know what it is? I looked through all the washer parts on the website but it didn't come up. Do i just put it back in the cup?

Thanks

It's a shipping pin (three are used) used to secure the tub assembly from moving around during shipping. When washer is first installed, a cord is pulled from outside the cabinet that pulls a clip out of the hole in one end of the pin allowing it to drop into the plastic cup. You can just put it back into the cup or toss it out.

Thanks so much for the information! I was pretty sure it was useless there, but better to be sure.

It is an interesting method that they use to secure it.
